McDonald’s Collectible Cups Return, Sparking Nostalgia

McDonald’s Revives Collector’s Cups with Exciting New Global Campaign

McDonald’s is excited to bring back a fan favorite—the Collector’s Cup—through a new global campaign that celebrates nostalgia and iconic Happy Meal collectibles. This limited-time offer invites customers to rediscover cherished memories with cups featuring designs from beloved past collectibles.

Available with the new Collector’s Meal, patrons can choose between a 10-piece McNugget or a Big Mac, complemented by fries and a drink. A breakfast option with a sausage McMuffin, hash browns, and a drink is also available. Special embossed glasses are offered in select markets, including Australia, Canada, and Portugal.

The campaign’s centerpiece, “The Great Cup Odyssey,” showcases giant versions of McDonald’s most beloved Happy Meal toys from the past, traveling the globe to reconnect with fans.

Morgan Flatley, McDonald’s Global CMO and Head of New Business Ventures, shared her enthusiasm: “These new collectible cups celebrate some of our most memorable designs and collaborations. They provide longtime fans a chance to relive past joys and allow new generations to create their lasting memories.”

Starting August 13, the Collector’s Cups will be available at McDonald’s restaurants, drive-thrus, and via the app. Fans can also use their cups to access special pop-up events in New York and Los Angeles.

Designed by various artists, including former crew member Oscar Bastidas, the cups feature themes from Snoopy and Hello Kitty to Barbie, Hot Wheels, Beanie Babies, Shrek, Jurassic Park, and the Coca-Cola polar bear.

This campaign highlights McDonald’s commitment to celebrating its legacy and iconic brand partnerships, ensuring that the joy of past collectibles continues to engage and delight fans old and new.
