GUT Expands Creative Team in Europe with Ignacio “Nacho” Ferioli as Chief Creative Officer

GUT Network has announced the appointment of Ignacio “Nacho” Ferioli as the Chief Creative Officer for Europe, following his move from Mexico to Amsterdam. Ferioli’s arrival marks a significant expansion in the network’s creative leadership across Europe. Alongside him, Carmen Rodriguez has been appointed as Global Chief Growth Officer, relocating from Miami to join the GUT team in Amsterdam.

These strategic appointments come on the heels of the launch of GUT Madrid, the network’s second European office, in June.

Ferioli, a celebrated figure in the advertising industry with over 20 years of experience, brings a wealth of expertise to his new role. With more than 60 Cannes Lions under his belt, he has been instrumental in building and leading creative departments globally. His remarkable work includes notable campaigns for clients such as Coca-Cola, Unilever, Mercado Libre, Anheuser Busch InBev, and Volkswagen. Ferioli’s campaign for MACMA, “Manboobs4boobs,” won the United Nations Grand Prix for Good at Cannes Lions and the first D&AD Impact White Pencil for Latin America in 2016, setting a record as the most awarded campaign in Argentine advertising history.

Rodriguez, who joined GUT Buenos Aires in 2019, has played a pivotal role in expanding the network’s global presence. Her leadership was crucial in the successful launch of GUT Mexico in 2023. Rodriguez has been instrumental in establishing six of the network’s eight global offices, including Buenos Aires, São Paulo, Mexico City, Los Angeles, Miami, and Toronto, all within five years. Known for her exceptional account leadership, she has earned seven Cannes Lions Grand Prix and numerous Gold Lions, among other prestigious awards. In 2020, Rodriguez was recognized as one of Ad Age’s Leading Women and The Adweek 50 List.

In its first year, GUT Amsterdam has already achieved notable success, winning its first Silver Lion at the Cannes Lions and securing key clients like Coca-Cola, Kraft Heinz, and Foodora.

Rodriguez expressed her enthusiasm for the move: “Amsterdam is a vibrant hub of culture and creativity, making it an exciting place for GUT as we expand our presence in Europe, starting with Madrid. This cultural diversity is crucial for delivering work that resonates both locally and globally.”

Ferioli shared his excitement about his new role: “GUT’s expansion across Europe is a transformative moment for the network. I look forward to continuing our mission of becoming the most diverse, creative, and influential agency globally, driven by brave ideas and a strong agency culture.”

With these new appointments, GUT Network is poised for significant growth and continued innovation in the European market.
