Starbucks’ New Holiday Campaign: Enjoy a Moment of Calm During the Busy Season

This holiday season, Starbucks is offering a peaceful break from the usual holiday chaos with its new campaign, “Drink In, Breathe Out.” Developed in collaboration with TBWA\London, the campaign invites people to take a moment to relax and reconnect during the busy festive period.

The campaign highlights Starbucks’ mission of fostering human connection and its role as a community hub. With the holidays bringing a mix of emotions, Starbucks positions itself as a place where people can escape the hustle and enjoy quality moments with loved ones, even if just for a brief pause.

The heart of the campaign is a TV commercial featuring a creative blend of 3D, stop-motion, and 2D animation. The film follows a modern-day man as he races through the whirlwind of holiday activities—shopping, parties, and the overwhelming to-do list. However, when he takes a sip of his favorite Starbucks beverage, the chaos slows down, and he reconnects with the holiday spirit and the people who matter most.

“Amidst the holiday rush, Starbucks offers a moment of calm when it’s needed most,” says Michelle Chin, VP of Marketing & Product at Starbucks. “Drink In, Breathe Out is about finding peace in the middle of the busy season. We want people to remember that Starbucks is a place to pause, enjoy a drink, and create meaningful moments, whether with family, friends, or themselves.”

Along with the campaign, Starbucks is also launching its Holiday menu, which features the return of the iconic Red Cup and a selection of festive drinks like Toffee Nut Latte, Gingerbread Cream Iced Chai Tea Latte, and the new Caramel Waffle Cream Iced Latte.

“Drink In, Breathe Out” will be featured across TV, digital, out-of-home, and experiential channels throughout the EMEA region, with support from Edelman, We Are Social, and Havas.

The campaign’s creative director at TBWA\London, Lauren Coates, shares, “The craftsmanship behind this campaign is extraordinary. From the mini red cups to the detailed animation of each character, the blend of 3D, stop-motion, and 2D animation captures the message perfectly—Drink In, Breathe Out this holiday season.”

Starbucks continues to focus on its mission of bringing people together and offering a welcoming space to share a moment of calm, making it the perfect destination during the bustling holiday season.
