AAMI Launches New Campaign to Assist with Footy Mishaps

AAMI has turned the spotlight on both backyard and professional footy mishaps in its latest AFL-focused campaign, developed by Ogilvy.

The new campaign, titled ‘When our game has its moments,’ highlights “the unique challenges that footy presents to both professional and community players,” while also “reminding viewers of AAMI’s long-standing partnership as the official major partner of the AFL and AFLW.”

This campaign is the third installment of AAMI’s new brand platform, which first debuted in March, following a similar ad that showcased aspiring backyard Olympians. Hilary Badger, Executive Creative Director at Ogilvy Melbourne, commented: “AFL fans have an unrivaled passion for the game – it unites people with a fervor that’s hard to match. But sometimes, things go awry.

“Sometimes it’s as simple as a football hitting your car. That’s when it’s Lucky you’re with AAMI.”

Mim Haysom, EGM Brand & Customer Experience at Suncorp, added: “We’re proud of our enduring partnership with the AFL and AFLW, and our ability to recognize and address the specific challenges our customers face, even those caused by an errant footy.”

Haysom continued, “We understand that Australians aren’t particularly interested in the finer details of insurance – they just want it to be straightforward, so they can get back to enjoying the game we all love.”

The ‘When our game has its moments’ campaign launches today on TV, with BVOD, streaming, OOH, social, radio, and press set to go live next week.
