Amir Kassaei Returns to Advertising as Global Chief Brand Officer for Volkswagen at Omnicom

Amir Kassaei, renowned for his transformative impact in the advertising industry, has made a notable comeback as the Global Chief Brand Officer for Volkswagen at Omnicom. With a distinguished career spanning nearly three decades, Kassaei brings a wealth of experience and innovation to his new role, aiming to elevate Volkswagen’s brand presence worldwide.

Born in Iran and raised in Austria, Kassaei’s journey began with diverse roles in advertising, including pivotal positions at TBWA, Barci & Partner, and Springer & Jacoby. His tenure at Springer & Jacoby saw him rise from Copywriter to Executive Creative Director, overseeing global campaigns for Mercedes-Benz and smart.

Joining DDB in 2003, Kassaei rapidly ascended to Chief Creative Officer of DDB Germany, where he reshaped the agency into a creative powerhouse. His leadership propelled DDB Germany to top rankings in prestigious industry reports like The Gunn Report and The Big Won Report, solidifying his reputation as a visionary creative leader.

In 2011, Kassaei assumed the role of DDB Worldwide Chief Creative Officer, steering global creative strategies until his departure in 2020 to focus on C14TORCE, a bespoke agency dedicated to SEAT. Under his guidance, C14TORCE facilitated SEAT’s rapid growth, establishing a significant market presence across Europe and beyond.

Throughout his career, Kassaei has amassed over 800 awards, cementing his legacy as one of the most decorated creatives in advertising history. Beyond his professional achievements, he has also contributed to the industry as an educator and speaker at renowned institutions worldwide.

Now, returning to the advertising forefront with Omnicom, Kassaei aims to leverage his extensive expertise to drive Volkswagen’s marketing initiatives to new heights. His appointment marks a pivotal moment as he renews his commitment to shaping the future of automotive advertising with innovative solutions and strategic vision.
