Bullfrog appoints Kim Anderson as new CEO as founder Dalton Henshaw takes advisory role

Bullfrog, an independent Australian agency, has announced a major leadership transition with Kim Anderson appointed as its new Chief Executive Officer, taking over from founder Dalton Henshaw, who will move into an advisory role. Henshaw, who launched Bullfrog in 2020 at the age of 26, has guided the agency through its first five years, establishing it as one of Australia’s most innovative companies in media and marketing, earning multiple national and international creative awards.

Kim Anderson joins Bullfrog from the FIFA Women’s World Cup, where she served as global marketing lead during the record-breaking tournament. With over 20 years of experience in marketing, innovation, and communications across Australasia, the US, and the UK, she has also held senior roles at TEDx, Smart Design, and operated her own consultancy. Her appointment marks the next phase in Bullfrog’s evolution, positioning the agency as a “growth company” that combines creativity, strategy, and community-building to scale challenger brands into category leaders.

Henshaw emphasizes that succession planning is vital for enduring businesses, and handing over leadership to Kim is a natural step in Bullfrog’s journey. “Kim brings a global reputation for building communities and delivering tangible business results,” he said. He will remain actively involved in the business, advising the leadership team and key clients while preparing for personal milestones later this year.

Anderson stated, “Bullfrog’s progressive model centers on data, creativity, and community. Building on Dalton’s leadership, I aim to shape a company that is brave, modern, and value-driven. Our goal is to attract top talent, foster growth-focused partnerships, and deliver forward-thinking creative leadership.”

The agency has also strengthened its executive team with strategic hires: Robbie Brammall, former CMO of Tasmania’s Museum of Old and New Art (MONA), joins as Chief Marketing and Innovation Officer; Georgia Newton as General Manager; Tim Shelley as Chief Brand and Experience Officer; and Mike Ronkoske as Chief Strategy Officer. Additional key hires include Phoebe Sloane as Creative Director, Amanda Nicoll as Group Business Director, and specialists such as Madison Ryan, Joy Hudson, and Alex Weston, creating a well-rounded leadership team ready to scale brands with impact.

This leadership transition underscores Bullfrog’s mission to deliver measurable business growth while maintaining its independent, innovative, and culturally attuned approach. The agency aims not only to create exceptional advertising but also to provide strategic solutions that drive results across the entire business spectrum.
