Campari Celebrates Negroni Week with ‘Ode to Cinema,’ Featuring Iconic Film Genres in a Four-Part Series

Campari has released its new four-part film commercial, “Ode to Cinema,” featuring world-renowned bartenders Millie Tang, Tiffanie Barriere, Mona Gallosi, and Joe Schofield. In celebration of Negroni Week and Campari’s deep-rooted ties to cinema, the series explores the timeless connection between cocktails and classic film eras.

Each episode is inspired by different cinematic genres, such as 50s Film Noir, 60s Spy Thrillers, 90s Crime Films, and the whimsical world of Wes Anderson. At the heart of each narrative is the bartenders’ unique Negroni recipe, paying homage to the art of mixology and the magic of the silver screen.

The films embrace modern design with Italian cinematic influences while remaining true to their respective eras with meticulous attention to detail. This fun and dynamic collaboration between creative director Harry Woulds, director Sakari Lerkkanen, cinematographer Alex Grigoras, and editor Arttu Salmi showcases a testament to creative synergy.

The launch dates allow audiences to enjoy each film sequentially, with a unique narrative for each genre.

Ode to Cinema (Wes Anderson)
Inspired by Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel and Moonrise Kingdom, the film follows world-renowned bartender Joe Schofield as a deadpan businessman in a quirky hotel room. He opens his trunk, revealing the secret ingredients for his signature Negroni, and carefully crafts the drink.

 

Ode to Cinema (Film Noir)

The film follows world-renowned bartender Mona Gallosi as a femme fatale in a classic 50s Film Noir. When the phone rings with a mysterious voice saying, “It’s time,” she unveils her signature Negroni recipe.

Ode to Cinema (60s Spy)

Inspired by classic 60s spy movies, the film follows world-renowned bartender Millie Tang as a spy. After receiving a mysterious delivery, she shares her signature Negroni recipe as part of the covert exchange. The film also features acclaimed mixologist Joe Schofield as the deliveryman.

Ode to Cinema (90s Crime)

Inspired by David Fincher’s Se7en, the film follows world-renowned bartender Tiffanie Barriere as a detective in a 90s crime thriller setting. As she pieces together clues, she ultimately uncovers her unique Negroni recipe.
