DAVID Names Daniel Lobatón as Chief Creative Officer for North America

DAVID has announced the appointment of Daniel Lobatón as its first Chief Creative Officer (CCO) for North America, a newly-created role. Lobatón will oversee creative operations at DAVID’s North American offices—DAVID Miami and DAVID New York. Reporting to Global Chief Creative Officer Pancho Cassis and Co-founder and Chairman Fernando Musa, Lobatón will be based in the newly opened New York office, located in the historic Domino Sugar Factory in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Lobatón joins DAVID after a successful tenure as CCO at Rethink New York, where he played a pivotal role in expanding the agency’s footprint from Canada to the U.S. During his time at Rethink, the agency won Independent Network of the Year at Cannes Lions, with multiple accolades for clients such as Kraft-Heinz, Uber Eats, and Epidemic Sound. Lobatón’s distinguished career also includes leading Saatchi & Saatchi New York as CCO & Co-president, with notable work on P&G’s Tide brand, and receiving prestigious awards from Cannes Lions, D&AD, One Show, and Clio Awards.

Lobatón will focus on fostering new creative opportunities and ensuring that DAVID Miami and DAVID New York maintain their reputation for delivering business-driving ideas. This appointment marks an exciting new chapter for DAVID in North America, with the agency’s New York office already establishing itself as a rising force in the U.S. market after just two years of operation.

Under Lobatón’s leadership, DAVID aims to continue delivering high-impact, award-winning campaigns for a roster of global brands, including Clif Bar (Mondelez), Clash of Clans (Supercell), AB InBev, Burger King, Google Android, Netflix, and Coca-Cola. DAVID’s New York and Miami offices will continue to be led by local Chief Creative Officers André Toledo and Edgard Gianesi, respectively.

DAVID, a part of WPP and Ogilvy’s global creative network, now operates six offices worldwide, including New York, Miami, Madrid, São Paulo, Buenos Aires, and Bogota. The agency’s worldwide staff represents 25 countries, and it operates with a lean, horizontal structure that amplifies diverse perspectives and fosters collaboration. With Lobatón on board, DAVID is poised to further solidify its position as a leading creative agency in North America.
