Dutch Campaign Raises Awareness About Online Shaming Among Students

Over the last half-year, 33,000 young people in the Netherlands faced the repercussions of having their intimate photos shared without consent, ranging from feelings of isolation to tragic instances of suicide.

KPN joined forces with Dentsu Creative Amsterdam to launch the “Think Twice before you forward” campaign.

Teaming up with singer Meau, they crafted “A Piece of Me,” a compelling song and video shedding light on the perils of sharing personal content without permission.

With a staggering 9 million streams and active participation from schools, the initiative sparked vital dialogues surrounding online shaming.

Moreover, it spurred legislative action, prompting the Dutch senate to criminalize the unauthorized dissemination of intimate images.
