Jetstar and Thinkerbell launch a new summer Sandman campaign

Jetstar and Thinkerbell have launched a fun new campaign encouraging Australians to swap snow for sand this Christmas. The campaign, titled Seeking Sandmates, invites Aussies to create their own “Sandman” and join in the festive fun.

In this heartwarming story, a lonely Sandman travels across Australia’s beaches in search of other “Sandmates” to avoid spending Christmas alone. The campaign showcases iconic beach destinations and encourages Australians to build their own Sandperson for a chance to win up to $100,000 worth of flight vouchers.

The campaign will run across TV, social media, outdoor advertising, and online throughout the Christmas holidays. While Australia may not have snow at Christmas, it has more sandy beaches than anywhere else in the world—and Jetstar can help you get to them at affordable prices.

Tom Wenborn, Chief Tinker at Thinkerbell, said, “Let’s hope this new Jetstar tradition catches on, and we see merry little Sandpeople pop up all over the country.”

In addition to this campaign, Thinkerbell has also been busy working on other creative projects. Recently, they partnered with Vegemite for a campaign aimed at introducing the iconic spread to a new generation. They also teamed up with Lifeline for the Lonely Christmas Cards campaign, designed to raise awareness of loneliness during the holiday season, which affects 1 in 3 Australians.
