Morrisons has launched its latest Christmas campaign, featuring the beloved animated oven gloves that have become icons of festive cheer. Created by Leo Burnett and directed by Michael Gracey, known for his work on The Greatest Showman, this advertisement honors the dedicated hosts who transform their homes into magical holiday settings, bringing family and friends together around the dinner table.
In this heartwarming ad, the singing oven gloves take center stage, delivering an uplifting rendition of “Give a Little Love” from Bugsy Malone. The performance features a 26-member choir composed of Morrisons colleagues, emphasizing the brand’s commitment to quality and home cooking. Morrisons’ Market Street provides a range of fresh ingredients, from hand-prepared meats to seasonal vegetables, ensuring that every holiday meal is memorable.
The 60-second ad opens with a snowy scene as a Morrisons delivery van arrives at a home. One of the animated oven gloves springs to life and begins to sing, encouraging hosts as they prepare their festive feasts. Whether it’s tackling a large turkey or proudly presenting a seafood platter, these cheerful gloves provide moral support, reminding viewers that hosting is a joyous occasion.
Morrisons aims to ease the pressure of holiday hosting by offering a top-quality Christmas range, expertly crafted by skilled butchers, bakers, and chefs. Alex Rogerson, Morrisons’ Group Customer and Marketing Officer, states, “We want every host to shine bright this Christmas, and our great value food will look spectacular and taste just as good.”
This campaign highlights the importance of tradition and quality in holiday cooking, bringing a touch of magic to kitchens across the UK. Alongside the main ad, Morrisons will also launch engaging social media content featuring the oven gloves, including unboxing videos and festive recipe suggestions.
The popular Cat Glove from last year is making a comeback with a new spin-off, introducing the Kitten Mittens, further adding to the festive fun. With integrated ads across TV and radio, the campaign aims to spread joy and inspiration, ensuring that everyone can put on the greatest show at home this Christmas.
Join Morrisons in celebrating the spirit of the season and making this Christmas one to remember!
