Dentsu Creative Canada has named Raj Gupta group creative director. Raj is one of Canada’s most highly awarded creative leaders, recognized for pushing the boundaries of design, technology, and storytelling to deliver breakthrough brand experiences.
Over the past two decades, Raj has led campaigns that have won top honours at Cannes Lions, D&AD, The One Show, Clio Awards, The Webby Awards, Communication Arts, Applied Arts, Atomic Awards, and The Advertising & Design Club of Canada, among others.
His work for the Royal Canadian Legion (The Immortal Poppy and Remembrance Island) has been spotlighted by Fast Company as a World Changing Idea and named one of Contagious’ 25 World’s Best Campaigns, earning Grand Prix and Best of Show at Canada’s Marketing Awards as well as accolades for innovation in digital engagement, art direction, and immersive experiences. Raj has also created award-winning campaigns for HSBC, Greenpeace, GoRVing Canada, and the Canadian Film Centre, and his creative approach has been profiled by outlets including CBC News, The Financial Post, BlogTO, The Toronto Star, Notable Life, Global News and Contagious.

Early in his career, he earned the inaugural Dubai Young Lynx Award and multiple awards for academic and creative excellence from institutions in the UAE and Australia.
