Scarecrow M&C Saatchi Launches ‘Champion ka Syllabus’ for Sportz Village’s Sports Education Initiative

Scarecrow M&C Saatchi has launched a groundbreaking campaign for Sportz Village, built on the powerful premise that “Champions are not born; they are created in schools.” This initiative aims to revolutionize the way we view education and sports, emphasizing that a well-rounded school syllabus should encompass not just academics but also sports.

The campaign, titled ‘Champion ka Syllabus,’ underscores that the journey to becoming a champion is rigorous and continuous. Each day serves as a new exam, every setback as a lesson, and every challenge as an opportunity. It draws a parallel between the obstacles encountered in sports and those faced in life, illustrating how the right training and preparation can forge champions both in sports and in life.

Saumil Majumdar, CEO and Managing Director of Sportz Village, highlighted the significance of this campaign during the organization’s 21st anniversary celebrations on August 31. “Reaching this milestone underscores our mission to engage 100 million children in sports and foster champions in life. Over the past 21 years, our programs have impacted over 60 lakh children and youth across more than 18,000 schools in 22 states of India. We’ve collaborated with over 100 brands, sports academies, federations, and governments to build healthier, happier communities through sports. We are excited to share our most ambitious campaign yet — Creating Champions In Life.”

The campaign has two main objectives: First, to integrate sports into the educational curriculum, thereby imparting essential life skills that contribute to becoming a champion in life. Second, to enhance India’s talent pool in preparation for the 2036 Olympics. Sportz Village is dedicated to identifying and nurturing promising student-athletes to build a future generation of medalists.

Raghu Bhat, Co-founder of Scarecrow M&C Saatchi, explained the creative vision behind the campaign, saying, “We aimed to illustrate the crucial role of schools in compellingly shaping champions. The ‘Champion ka Syllabus’ concept combines engaging visuals with a narrative rich in insights and life lessons, making it both impactful and memorable.”

Kapil Tammal, National Creative Director at Scarecrow M&C Saatchi, added, “Our goal is to encourage students to see sports as more than just a hobby. For India to excel on the global stage, including the Olympics, this journey must begin in our schools. While academics are crucial, sports must receive equal attention. The campaign runs from August 31 and is promoted across various multimedia platforms, reinforcing the message that education and sports together can shape future champions.
