Shaun the Sheep returns in Barbour’s Christmas ad

This Christmas, Barbour has once again teamed up with Aardman to bring festive cheer through a light-hearted and heartwarming campaign featuring the beloved Shaun the Sheep. After last year’s successful collaboration, where Shaun helped patch up The Farmer’s waxed jacket, Shaun and his flock are back for more fun, with Barbour focusing on their iconic accessories.

The 2024 campaign highlights Barbour’s range of high-quality hats, scarves, and other accessories, with a message of “giving the gift of warmth” this holiday season. A special part of this year’s campaign includes the launch of 30 limited edition Re-loved Shaun the Sheep-inspired wax jackets. All proceeds from the jacket sales will go to Oxfam, supporting their vital work around the world.

The charming new film, created by Aardman using their signature stop-motion animation, brings the magic of Barbour to life once again on Mossy Bottom Farm. The story features Bitzer, the Farmer’s loyal dog and Shaun’s best friend, as he tries to lead a cold choir of sheep singing Christmas carols. When their “baas” freeze, Bitzer rushes off on his bike to return with gifts from Barbour, warming up the flock and everyone on the farm.

These limited edition jackets will be sold at Oxfam stores and on Barbour.com. The special jackets, inspired by Shaun the Sheep, will include unique features like faux shearling lining and embroidered details. Additionally, a ‘Baabour’ Shaun pin badge, a Shaun the Sheep key ring, and embroidery on the pocket will make them truly collectible items. Some jackets will be ‘hidden’ in various Oxfam shops across the country, creating a fun treasure hunt for lucky customers.

This campaign builds on the success of last year’s partnership and continues Barbour’s tradition of quality and craftsmanship, values that are shared with Aardman. Paul Wilkinson, Group Commercial Director at Barbour, expressed his excitement about continuing the collaboration: “We’re proud to support Oxfam through the sale of these unique jackets and bring the warmth of Barbour to our customers this Christmas.”

With its focus on sustainable fashion and supporting good causes, Barbour’s 2024 Christmas campaign offers a wonderful way to celebrate the season, combining fun, warmth, and generosity.
