Independent creative agency Tiny Disco, based in Melbourne, has announced a significant leadership shift with Celeste Mackay stepping into the role of Creative Director. She replaces founder Chelsea Morley, who led the agency’s creative vision for eight years and will now focus on expanding the business and driving its growth.
Chelsea Morley co-founded Tiny Disco with her husband, photographer Stu Morley, and has played a central role in transforming the agency from a two-person operation into a respected name in culturally-relevant content and advertising. During her tenure, the agency has partnered with notable clients such as Mecca and Dan Murphy’s, building a strong reputation in the creative industry.
Celeste Mackay has been with Tiny Disco since 2023, serving in a creative management capacity. Her promotion comes as she returns from maternity leave after the birth of her first child, Freya. With extensive experience across the UK, the Middle East, and Australia, Mackay has worked with brands like Chanel, Grill’d, and Seed Heritage. She previously held roles such as Head of Design at Grill’d and Brand Art Director at Seed Heritage, as well as design and merchandising positions at Chanel in both London and Dubai.
Mackay brings a multidisciplinary creative background to her new role, combining skills in design, branding, events, and strategy. She expressed her excitement about the opportunity, sharing that she is passionate about people, shared experiences, and creating memorable, high-impact work for clients. She emphasized that the ever-evolving nature of the creative industry is what motivates her daily, and that Tiny Disco’s culture of pushing creative boundaries perfectly aligns with her energy and vision.
Chelsea Morley expressed full confidence in Mackay’s leadership, stating that her dedication to the team and the creative work has been clear from the beginning. With this transition, Tiny Disco is poised to begin a dynamic new chapter, led by Mackay’s fresh perspective and creative drive. She will officially take over the Creative Director role from August 2025, operating from the agency’s Melbourne office.
