UnLtd strengthens its board with four new directors to boost industry impact

UnLtd, the leading social purpose organization connecting the media, marketing, and creative industries to impactful social causes, has announced the appointment of four new Board Directors as part of its ongoing efforts to expand its influence and increase its impact in tackling youth disadvantage across Australia.

The newly appointed directors are:

  • James Bayes, Vice President ANZ at The Trade Desk
  • Philippa Noilea-Tani, Chief Investment & Operating Officer at Wavemaker
  • Jason Tonelli, CEO of Zenith Australia
  • Amanda Henderson, Director of The Tieck Foundation

These highly respected industry leaders bring with them a wealth of experience and passion, each contributing a unique set of skills that align with UnLtd’s mission to harness the power of the advertising industry to create long-lasting change for vulnerable young people.

The new directors will collaborate closely with Philippa Moig, UnLtd’s newly appointed CEO, who brings fresh leadership and strategic vision to the organization. They will also work alongside the existing Board members, including Chair Karen Halligan, and members Justin Graham, Kerry McCabe, Kristiaan Kroon, and Paul Sigaloff.

Karen Halligan, Chair of the UnLtd board, expressed her enthusiasm for the new appointments: “We are thrilled to welcome Amanda, James, Jason, and Philippa to the UnLtd Board. Each of them brings a unique set of skills, incredible passion, and a shared commitment to using our industry’s power for good. Since its inception, UnLtd has attracted some of the most respected and influential figures in the industry to its Board. These appointments mark the next wave of powerhouse industry leaders who will continue to build on the legacy of those before them, driving UnLtd’s momentum and deepening our impact for young people at risk.”

With these new Board members, UnLtd aims to refine and sharpen its strategic direction as it continues to grow. The Board will focus on enhancing the organization’s influence in both the media and marketing sectors, working with partners across the industry to scale up its work supporting charities and creating systemic change for youth facing significant disadvantages.

UnLtd has long been committed to using the advertising industry to create positive social change, supporting charities that raise awareness and funding for youth issues. Now, with a renewed focus on addressing broader systemic issues contributing to youth disadvantage, UnLtd aims to create lasting solutions that transcend charity work and make a significant societal impact.

Philippa Moig, CEO of UnLtd, shared her excitement about the future of the organization: “This is an exciting new chapter for UnLtd as we scale our impact and harness the full power of our industry. We’re fortunate to work alongside so many committed partners who not only care about change but also have the skills and tools to make it happen. There’s real energy and momentum behind UnLtd right now, and I’m looking forward to working with our new Board Directors and the wider industry to turn that momentum into meaningful action.”

The four new Directors have all expressed a strong commitment to UnLtd’s mission. Philippa Noilea-Tani spoke about her personal connection to the organization, saying, “UnLtd’s cause is so close to my heart, and I’ve been involved with the organization for many years through charity campaigns, the Ambassador program, and events. It’s a real privilege to now play a formal role in helping shape UnLtd’s future. I am incredibly excited to contribute my skills and networks to help drive meaningful change.”

With these appointments, UnLtd is poised to expand its reach and deepen its impact on the next generation, creating not just short-term support, but long-term, systemic change to combat youth disadvantage across Australia. The addition of experienced leaders from the media, marketing, and creative industries signals a bold new era for UnLtd as it continues to use its powerful network to affect real, sustainable change.

In the coming years, UnLtd’s leadership, under the guidance of its newly strengthened Board, will continue to bring together industry partners, raise awareness, and generate funds to address both immediate and long-term issues affecting young people at risk, ensuring that UnLtd’s mission remains a driving force for good in the advertising and media industries.
