Wong, a highly acclaimed creative leader, joins VML from TBWA\Media Arts Lab Shanghai (MAL), Apple’s bespoke agency, where he served as Executive Creative Director.

During his tenure at MAL, Wong played a pivotal role in setting new standards of creativity and crafting impactful campaigns that resonated with audiences across China. His visionary leadership contributed to elevating the creative landscape and influencing cultural narratives through innovative storytelling.

Wong’s journey in the advertising industry is marked by remarkable achievements and transformative leadership. Beginning his career at Leo Burnett Hong Kong, he swiftly rose to the position of Executive Creative Director, steering the agency to consecutive top-three rankings in Hong Kong for three years. His expertise and strategic vision were further showcased during his tenure as Chief Creative Officer at ADK, where he implemented integrated approaches and raised creative benchmarks.

However, it was his role at MAL Shanghai that catapulted Wong into the global spotlight. Spearheading campaigns for Apple, including the acclaimed “Shot on iPhone” films like “Nian” and “The Comeback,” Wong garnered unprecedented acclaim and numerous prestigious awards, including Gold Cannes Lions and recognition at Tribeca X and Adweek’s Brand Storytelling Awards.

With a portfolio boasting over 200 accolades across various advertising festivals, Wong’s creative prowess extends beyond boundaries. His client roster, spanning from tech giants like Apple, Sony, and Samsung to consumer brands like P&G, McDonald’s, and IKEA, underscores his versatility and ability to deliver innovative solutions across diverse industries.
