Western Sydney International Airport (WSI) Seeks Partners for Digital Advertising and Car Parking Management

Western Sydney International Airport (WSI) is extending an invitation to out-of-home (OOH) advertising companies and car parking management organizations to register their interest in two critical opportunities as the airport prepares for its grand opening in late 2026.

Digital Advertising Opportunities

WSI is calling for out-of-home (OOH) digital advertising firms to provide internal and external digital advertising solutions across the new airport. CEO Simon Hickey highlights that this is a prime opportunity for industry experts to create innovative advertising experiences. “When WSI opens its doors, we will have the capacity to handle up to 10 million passengers annually. Our passengers will represent a diverse global audience, providing a unique platform for brands to engage at various stages of their journey,” said Hickey. The airport will feature around 80 digital advertising assets, including large-format outdoor signage and in-terminal screens designed to maximize passenger engagement.

Car Parking Management

In addition to digital advertising, WSI is also inviting organizations to manage and operate the car parking facilities at the new 24-hour airport. Executive Manager of Car Park and Ground Transport, Pierre El Cheikh, emphasized the importance of this step in providing optimal parking solutions. “Our goal is to offer WSI customers a range of parking options, supported by metro and bus services and a new motorway. This will ensure convenience and accessibility around the clock,” El Cheikh stated. Initially, WSI will provide over 6,000 car parking spaces for customers.

Recent Developments

This call for digital advertising and car parking management follows recent updates, including the announcement that Singapore Airlines will be WSI’s first international carrier and the release of a duty-free tender to establish a new shopping destination within the terminal. These initiatives reflect WSI’s ongoing progress as construction nears 80% completion and other key commercial offerings start to take shape.

Important Dates and Further Information

The registration of interest (ROI) process for digital advertising will close on October 8, 2024, while the car parking management ROI process will close on September 18, 2024. Interested parties that meet the minimum requirements in the ROI may be invited to participate in future tender processes.
