Red Rooster Heats Up Footy Finals with Exciting New Campaign

Red Rooster is heating the Footy Finals season with its latest campaign, “Crunch Time.” This new campaign, created by Leo Burnett, aims to bring sports fans closer to the action while showcasing Red Rooster’s mouthwatering fried chicken and burgers. The campaign builds upon Red Rooster’s strong connections to the world of Australian sports, reinforcing its long-time sponsorships with the Sydney Roosters (NRL), St Kilda FC (AFL), and Touch Football Australia.

Leading the charge is a captivating 15-second hero spot, accompanied by three playful 6-second ads featuring Sydney Roosters stars Joseph Sua’ali’i, Sam Walker, and Sandon Smith. The campaign, which launched on August 28, is now live across free-to-air TV, social media, digital platforms, and within Red Rooster restaurants nationwide.

Ashley Hughes, Director of Marketing at Red Rooster, shared the motivation behind the campaign: “Reds has been a proud sponsor of the Roosters for many years, but this is our first campaign dedicated to celebrating that partnership. We wanted to create something fun and engaging that highlights the difficulty of resisting our delicious menu, even for elite athletes during crunch time.”

The TVCs playfully depict Roosters players undergoing quirky training sessions that test their ability to stay focused while being tempted by Red Rooster’s crunchy fried chicken. The campaign not only showcases the brand’s commitment to sports but also its ability to bring a smile to the faces of footy fans across the country.

Adding to the excitement, Red Rooster has introduced a special Crunch Time Box, featuring the logos of its major sports partners: Sydney Roosters, St Kilda FC, and Touch Football Australia. For the first time, the box also includes a gift with purchase—a free mini footy, available in three unique designs. These limited-time Crunch Time Boxes and mini footballs are available from August 28, just in time to fuel the excitement of the Footy Finals season. Fans can grab them via Drive Thru, Dine In, Take Away, Click & Collect, and Delivery for the next six weeks, ensuring that this Finals season is one to remember.
