GIGIL & Stresstabs: New Campaign Shows How Stress Literally Tears Office Workers Apart

Workplace stress is a growing concern in the Philippines, with 87% of Filipino employees reporting job-related stress—11% higher than the global average. Beyond mental fatigue, stress drains essential nutrients, weakens the body, and slowly wears workers down.

To address this pressing issue, GIGIL has created a bold new campaign for Stresstabs, using a striking visual metaphor to illustrate how stress physically breaks a person apart. Departing from the traditional “before-and-after” style common in pharmaceutical and wellness advertising, the campaign focuses on a more visceral and relatable depiction of stress.

The film centers on Jemerlyn, an office worker whose body literally falls apart under the weight of stress, leaving only one arm intact. That lone arm struggles to navigate long commutes, office chaos, and fatigue—until Stresstabs replenishes her lost nutrients and restores her body, whole and ready to face a new day. The campaign emphasizes that stress is not just mentally exhausting—it has tangible, physical consequences.

Since its launch on June 25, 2025, the hero film has achieved remarkable engagement online, garnering over 8.66 million views on Facebook and 7.7 million on TikTok. These numbers reflect how successfully Stresstabs and GIGIL made stress relatable and impossible to ignore, while delivering an impactful message on the importance of supporting physical and mental wellness in the workplace.

 

By visualizing stress in such a literal and dramatic way, GIGIL has transformed the conversation around workplace wellness, offering both awareness and a solution in a single, powerful campaign.
