The One Show 2027 Opens to Celebrate Work That Drives Business and Culture

New One Show Sports discipline and CapCut partnership; return of popular One Show Indies.

NEW YORK, November 4, 2026 — A number of new and returning elements highlight the launch of The One Show 2027, as the top global awards program from The One Club for Creativity continues its quest to celebrate all forms of creativity that drive business and shape culture.

Over its 54-year history, The One Show has expanded its focus beyond an advertising awards show to become a world-class arbiter of creative excellence, committed to elevating any form of creative ideas that have both business and cultural impact.

That emphasis is reflected in the hero line for this year’s program:  “Creativity is Everywhere.  The best is celebrated at The One Show”.

The supporting fast-paced “Creativity is Everywhere” One Show 2027 launch campaign film was created in-house, with help from motion and graphics editor Ryan Grandmaison and Pencil renderings by independent creative house NotReal, based in Madrid and Buenos Aires.

From the industry’s most rigorous and advanced judging experiences to its annual high-end gala awards ceremony in New York during Creative Week and more, The One Show exists as a year-round exclusive premium platform to celebrate the world’s most compelling creative content.

“The best creative work elevates the creatives who developed it, and generates new business for winning agencies.  That’s always been the value of winning a One Show Pencil,” said Kevin Swanepoel, CEO of The One Club for Creativity.  “This year we’re opening the door wider to sports, creators, independents, and the new tools changing how ideas get made, because great work now comes from more places than ever.  Wherever it comes from, The One Show is where it should be seen.”

New for The One Show 2027

  • The One Show Sports — A new discipline for 2027, celebrating creativity that harnesses the unique power, culture and communities of sport, and recognizing ideas rooted in sport’s athletes, teams, fans, competition, rituals, live moments, data and cultural influence.  The new discipline honors original thinking and exceptional execution that build distinctive brands, deepen connections with fans, expand participation, shape culture or advance sport itself. Its annual organizational honors recognize sustained creative achievement and impact across a body of work.
  • Creator reduced fees — In order to showcase the best creative work from one of the industry’s fastest-growing and most impactful segments, The One Show now offers a 50% reduced fee for entries from creators.
  • CapCut partnership — The One Club recently announced a major agreement with CapCut, part of ByteDance, to serve as the club’s premier global AI partner.  The partnership includes CapCut serving as the presenting partner of The One Show 2027 Creative Use of AI discipline, a series of in-person and virtual creative events, and a related creator content series, to be announced shortly.

Returning highlights

  • The One Show Indies — After a successful launch last year, The One Show will continue The One Show Indies, dedicated to celebrating the work of independent agencies, design firms, freelancers, creators, and other creative companies around the world.  The One Show Indies is open to agencies with truly independent ownership — a minimum 51% owned by founders or staff – and judged exclusively by top creatives at indie agencies.  Last year’s four-office maximum limit was eliminated, opening the discipline up to all independents regardless of number of offices.  To make the competition even more accessible for smaller firms, indie agencies with four or fewer offices qualify for a 20% reduced entry fee.
  • Brand-side/In-House — Established in 2019 as the industry’s first awards show discipline to recognize creative excellence from brands and in-house agencies, The One Show Brand-side/In-House continues its rapid growth as the world’s most prestigious honor for client-side creative work.
  • Currency Value Adjustment — To further level the playing field for entry, The One Show extends its expansive Currency Value Adjustment program, opening the door for greater global participation.
  • Awards Intelligence – All entrants can again opt in to this service, which provides specific post-show feedback on why work performed the way that it did based on judging conversation.

Entries to The One Show 2027 can be submitted now, with fees increasing after each deadline period.  The advance entry deadline for the greatest savings is December 11, 2026.  Early entry deadline is January 22, 2027, with the standard deadline February 12, 2027, and final deadline March 5, 2027.

The One Show 2027 Jury Presidents and full juries will be announced shortly, with early judging starting in January 2027 and finalists announced in April 2027.  Crystal, Gold, Silver and Bronze Pencil and Merit winners will be announced in May during Creative Week 2027 in New York.

All winning entries are showcased in the archive, and viewable for free for one year.  All One Show winners also receive a complimentary one-year membership to The One Club, as well as full access to the complete One Show archive, made up of more than 250,000 award-winning entries from the past 25 years.

Agencies, brands, production companies, and individuals responsible for winning work each year are highlighted in The One Show Creative Rankings, as well as The One Club’s Global Creative Rankings, which combines points won at The One Show, ADC Annual Awards, Type Directors Club TDC competition, Art Directors Club of Europe (ADCE) Awards, and ONE Asia Creative Awards.  Winners are ranked globally, regionally, and by country.
