A Blooming Delight: Changi Airport’s ‘A Sunflower Sojourn’ Brightens All 4 Terminals

Changi Airport in Singapore has launched a captivating floral display, ‘A Sunflower Sojourn,’ featuring over 5,000 sunflowers of more than 10 different varieties. This vibrant exhibition, spread across more than 20 locations throughout all four terminals, invites visitors to immerse themselves in a sea of sunflowers.

The display includes larger-than-life sunflower topiary sculptures, some reaching heights of five and eight meters, creating an impressive visual spectacle. Among the featured blooms are the classic bright yellow ‘Sunrise,’ the rare red and yellow ‘Florenza,’ and the delicate pastel pink ‘Strawberry Blonde,’ all meticulously grown in Changi Airport’s own plant nursery.

Since the introduction of the Sunflower Garden in Terminal 2’s departure transit area in 2002, sunflowers have become a cherished symbol of Changi Airport. This new display extends the airport’s commitment to providing serene and beautiful spaces for travelers, adding to its array of picturesque gardens.

Ang Siew Min, Senior Vice President of Airport Operations Development at Changi Airport Group, expressed enthusiasm about the new display: “We are thrilled to unveil this vibrant Sunflower Sojourn display as an extension of the Sunflower Garden to other parts of the airport. The sunflower, a symbol of joy and cheerfulness, aligns perfectly with our service philosophy of delivering delightful and positively surprising experiences to all visitors.”

In addition to the stunning floral display, visitors can purchase exclusive Sunflower Sojourn merchandise at the Main Event Outpost in Terminal 3 Departure Hall and from the sunflower-themed vending machine located at Terminal 3 North, near the Jewel link bridge.
