Asiatic MCL Bangladesh Collaborates with NGO Bidyanondo to Repurpose Election Posters into Sustainable Notebooks

Bidyanondo and Asiatic MCL Bangladesh Partner to Transform Election Posters into Educational Resources.

Bidyanondo, a prominent NGO in Bangladesh, has joined forces with Asiatic MCL Bangladesh to launch a groundbreaking initiative titled the “Election Poster Notebook” campaign. This innovative project aims to repurpose millions of election posters into reusable notebooks, addressing both environmental concerns and the educational needs of disadvantaged children.

In Bangladesh, the period leading up to elections witnesses a proliferation of over 75 million election posters, contributing significantly to environmental clutter and waste. Bidyanondo recognized the potential of this surplus material and seized the opportunity to repurpose it for a meaningful cause. Mobilizing volunteers, the organization embarked on a mission to collect and transform these election posters into high-quality notebooks, thereby tackling environmental degradation while providing essential educational resources to marginalized youth.

The campaign’s impact has been substantial, with over 100,000 election posters collected and repurposed into 11,200 notebooks, benefiting underprivileged children across the country. Additionally, political parties contributed to the cause by donating an impressive 920,000 posters, potentially resulting in the creation of over 90,600 more notebooks. Through efficient coordination with local authorities, Bidyanondo and its partners successfully removed election posters from streets nationwide in just two days.

The “Election Poster Notebook” campaign has garnered significant international attention, generating over 33,500 USD worth of organic PR. Kishor Kumar Das, the Founder of Bidyanondo, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support received, highlighting the campaign’s dual focus on education and sustainability.

This collaboration between Bidyanondo and Asiatic MCL Bangladesh exemplifies a new standard of social and environmental responsibility. As global communities increasingly prioritize inclusive development and sustainability, initiatives like the “Election Poster Notebook” campaign serve as inspiring examples of how innovative solutions can drive positive change and offer hope for a brighter future.
