Coca-Cola has unveiled its innovative “Talk to Santa” AI-driven campaign at London’s iconic Piccadilly Lights, blending the warmth of Christmas nostalgia with state-of-the-art technology. This festive initiative offers audiences an immersive experience, inviting them to create personalized snow globes inspired by their cherished holiday memories.
The campaign utilizes Ocean Outdoor’s DeepScreen® technology, which transforms the Piccadilly Lights into a magical winter wonderland. Visitors can scan a QR code displayed on the massive screen to engage in real-time AI-powered conversations with Santa Claus. These interactions allow users to share their holiday stories, which are then transformed into custom 3D snow globes. The snow globes, adorned with swirling snowflakes and intricate frosty reflections, can be shared digitally with friends and family, adding a personalized touch to the holiday season.
At the heart of the display is Coca-Cola’s iconic Sundblom Santa Claus, who introduces a sequence of virtual snow globes on the large-format screen. The detailed 3D animation brings the concept to life, offering a stunning visual spectacle that runs daily from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. until Christmas Day.
This initiative is part of Coca-Cola’s broader “Create Real Magic” campaign, which showcases the brand’s innovative use of AI to engage audiences in meaningful ways. Developed in collaboration with its creative agency partner Accenture, the campaign highlights how traditional holiday sentiments can be reimagined through cutting-edge technology.
