Publicis Groupe Hong Kong has appointed João Braga as its new Global Executive Creative Director. With 20 years of experience in creative leadership, João brings his expertise to the team, adding strength to their already impressive creative capabilities.
Originally from Brazil, João has worked in cities around the world, including São Paulo, Lisbon, Singapore, Bangkok, and Sydney. His work has earned over 300 awards at major advertising shows like Cannes Lions, One Show, D&AD, and the Effies. With a deep understanding of various markets, João has successfully led teams and delivered creative solutions that resonate globally.
In his new role, João will work alongside Christopher Lee, Chief Creative Officer at Publicis Groupe Hong Kong, and report to Tom Kao, CEO of the company. João’s focus will be to build on the team’s strong foundation and drive even more creativity and innovation from Hong Kong to the global stage.

João joins the team after three years as the national Chief Creative Officer at Wunderman Thompson in Australia, where he led creative work across three offices. He has also spent six years working across Southeast Asia, building a diverse client portfolio in six different markets.
João will be relocating to Hong Kong in November 2024 to begin his new role, helping Publicis Groupe Hong Kong continue its journey as a leader in creative excellence.
