Dutch telecom brand Odido, official partner of TeamNL, has launched a powerful Olympic campaign in collaboration with TBWA\NEBOKO, highlighting the human side of elite sport. The campaign stars speed skating icon Jutta Leerdam and her father, celebrating the courage, conviction, and support that define her journey to the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics.
At the heart of the story is a pivotal decision. Leerdam, one of the Netherlands’ most successful athletes, has chosen to pursue her Olympic journey independently with a small, carefully selected team, including former coach Kosta Poltavets. By taking an unconventional path, she demonstrates the courage to follow her own strategy, unlocking her full potential. Odido’s campaign shines a light on this conviction, emphasizing the role of unwavering support in making such a journey possible.
The film captures Leerdam not as an untouchable star but as a human athlete, using never-before-seen archive footage to reveal the realities behind elite performance. Narrated by Leerdam’s father, the campaign provides an intimate perspective, highlighting the emotional strength and encouragement required when outcomes are uncertain and pressure is constant.
