Judging with Christiane Dressler is a room full of the most talented and award-winning practitioners who are directors, executive producers, heads of production and creatives who specialize in production.
The creativity and crafting for film in LIA has risen year after year. As Christiane Dressler aptly put it, “Craft is the ultimate differentiator—it’s what turns a good idea into something you actually feel. Production, post and music videos have always been where the industry reinvents itself, often led by new voices willing to take risks others won’t. At ANORAK, we’ve built our approach around that belief, so I’m particularly excited by work that’s fearless in its execution and unmistakable in its point of view.”
Christiane gave her reason why she sees Production & Post and Music Video as important categories to showcase work.
Christiane Dressler continued, “Production, Post and Music Video are where ideas either hold up—or fall apart. Music videos in particular remain the industry’s most uncompromising playground: a space where craft leads, risk is rewarded, and new directing voices break through.”
There are many films throughout advertising history that are remembered not just for the idea, but also the cinematic way they pushed the narrative of the idea forward, through directing, editing, cinematography, lighting, music or even post production. Or all of the above. Just think of the Guinness Surfer TV commercial. It was a masterpiece in originality, bravery and mind-blowing direction, production and post production craftsmanship.
Christina Shaw, VP – Awards Director LIA, added: “Great films and music videos are those pieces where everything comes together. And nothing is out of place. The jurors we have in the room are all master storytellers. They understand the synergy between the idea, what happens in front of the camera and all the other components that go into making a piece of film or music video great. And award-worthy.”
All judging is done onsite. Jurors are required to review all submissions in their respective categories from the first round through the final round of statue discussions.
LIA judging will begin on 25th September, 2026 and finish on 3rd October, 2026 at Encore @ Wynn, Las Vegas. There is a 20% off entry fees through 30th June.
