Independent creative agency Common Ventures has launched a unique product to make your beach days more entertaining. Introducing ‘Salty Towels’, a limited-edition collection that brings a playful spin to the unspoken realities of the shoreline.
These towels are designed to reveal the inner thoughts of beachgoers in a humorous way. Whether it’s politely asking space invaders to “rack off,” warning people not to steal your belongings, or humorously admitting to an ocean pee, Salty Towels have something for everyone.
The vibrant and quirky designs were created in collaboration with Jacky Winter and artist Georgia Perry. The towels feature bold typographic messages such as:
- “You’re too close, rack off!”
- “Please don’t steal my stuff.”
- “Currently peeing in the ocean.”
Jane Burhop, Creative Director at Common Ventures, explains the inspiration:
“When summer in Australia feels like it’s 1000 degrees, the only way to enjoy yourself is by staying neck-deep in water. To kick off 2025, we wanted to create something that celebrates the quirks of a day by the water, while also addressing the funny and awkward moments that come with it.”
She added, “Beach culture is the perfect setting for some light-hearted commentary, and Salty Towels delivers just that with humor and charm.”
The towels have been released for Common Ventures’ client network, with a limited number available for others who want to add a little sass to their beach experience.
