Singtel has launched a new short film, The Corridor, showcasing how technology has evolved and how its 10Gbps broadband is helping families and communities stay connected today.
The 90-second film takes viewers on a nostalgic journey from the days of dial-up modems and pagers to today’s ultra-fast broadband. It highlights how Singtel has played a key role in bridging distances and strengthening relationships over the years.
Set in a familiar HDB corridor, the film tells the story of Vanessa, a teenager who comes across an old photograph of her neighbors. As she looks at it, she recalls cherished memories—learning to ride a bike from Uncle Leong, getting a DIY haircut from Auntie Farrah, and the many small but meaningful moments they shared. Inspired by this, Vanessa revives their “Big Family” chat group and brings everyone together to recreate the old photo in their HDB corridor, reminding them of the deep connections they’ve built over time.
Ng Tian Chong, CEO of Singtel Singapore, shared that technology plays a crucial role in keeping communities connected and maintaining relationships. As Singapore’s leading connectivity provider, Singtel is proud to have been part of millions of shared experiences. With Chinese New Year being a time of reunions and reconnections, the film reflects on how technology has brought families and communities closer together.
The Corridor is part of Singtel’s ‘Possibilities Anthology’, a collection of short films that celebrate the role of technology in everyday life. The campaign has already reached millions of viewers across Singtel’s social media platforms, further strengthening its message of connection and togetherness.
The film will be available on Singtel’s YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok from 24 January 2025.
