Ben Miles becomes R/GA’s Chief Design Officer for operations in the Asia Pacific region

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA — Creative innovation powerhouse R/GA has announced the promotion of Ben Miles to the newly established role of Chief Design Officer, APAC.

Ben Miles will drive R/GA’s design excellence and innovative output across the APAC region in this strategic role. He will focus on enhancing the design discipline within brand, experience, and communication practices. Ben will collaborate with multidisciplinary leaders in each market to realize this ambitious vision.

Previously serving as VP and Executive Creative Director of Brand Design for APAC, Ben Miles is celebrated as a global design leader. He is known for spearheading transformative brand work and fostering a culture of innovation, grounded in a deep understanding of human behavior.

At R/GA, Ben has curated a diverse and talented team of top brand, visual, verbal, and strategic designers from across APAC. Together, they champion the idea that brands should actively shape culture rather than just existing within it.

Ben’s influence extends to shaping prominent brands across Australia, New Zealand, and Asia, including notable names such as Telstra, Westpac, Powerhouse Museum and City of Sydney, Google, Nike, UOB, SingLife, IGA, Toll, SKY NZ, Foxtel, Cotton On Group, Huffer, Fed Square, Bailey Nelson, ZIG (part of CDG), Timberland, and The Prince Akatoki, as well as various startups.

His leadership has earned him prestigious awards, including Fast Company’s “World Changing Ideas” for the “G’ AY MATE” project supporting Marriage Equality, two D&AD Yellow Pencils, and a Cannes Lions for the social Indigenous enterprise “We Are Warriors.”
