Omnicom Media Group Australia Appoints Kim Hamilton as New Chief Marketing Officer

OMG Australia has officially appointed Kim Hamilton as its Chief Marketing Officer, a newly created role aimed at revolutionizing the Group’s marketing approach. Hamilton’s appointment is set to drive OMG’s new marketing structure, unifying brand teams into a cohesive national marketing and business development entity. This strategic move will set the industry standard with a consolidated portfolio and growth strategy, further solidifying OMG’s position as a leading media and specialist agency group in Australia.

Hamilton brings over a decade of experience in brand marketing, with significant roles at Westpac and Optus before joining OMD Sydney in 2013. At OMD Sydney, Hamilton initially led the Performance Group and was later promoted to Group Managing Director. Her leadership was instrumental in increasing the agency’s revenue by more than 50%, with notable client wins including Suncorp Group and the NSW Government.

In her new role, Hamilton will focus on integrating OMG’s brand teams to enhance the Group’s marketing and business development capabilities. This initiative aims to elevate OMG’s profile, improve client delivery, and drive strategic growth. Hamilton will report directly to Peter Horgan, CEO of OMG ANZ, who emphasized the importance of consolidating marketing and business development expertise for sustainable growth and innovation.

Peter Horgan stated, “Kim’s deep experience in brand marketing and her impressive track record at OMD Sydney makes her the ideal leader for our new marketing structure. We look forward to working with her as we embark on this exciting new phase.”

Hamilton expressed her enthusiasm for the role, saying, “I am excited about the opportunity to work across OMG’s diverse brands. My focus will be on implementing strategic growth initiatives that will elevate our brands and deliver meaningful value to our clients. I am grateful for my experiences at OMD and eager to apply this knowledge to drive sustained success at OMG.”
