Celebrate National Bagel Day with COBS Bread: Baygul or Baggle? You Decide!

This friendly disagreement has inspired COBS Bread to do something fun and creative for National Bagel Day, which is celebrated on January 15th. Whether you say baygul or baggle, COBS Bread believes both are right—and they’re letting customers decide for themselves.

From January 15th to February 19th, COBS Bread bakeries across Canada will display signs showing both pronunciations. Customers are invited to join the conversation by ordering their bagels the way they like to say it. The bakery offers fresh, baked-from-scratch options like Sesame, Plain, and Everything bagels—ready for you to order as either “bayguls” or “baggles”!

Here’s a bonus: On National Bagel Day (January 15th), the first 25 customers at every COBS Bread bakery across Canada will receive a free bagel! Just tell the staff whether you’re on Team Baygul or Team Baggle to claim your free treat.
