Edelman has appointed Christiane Schulz as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Asia Pacific (APAC), effective April 1. Schulz, who is currently the CEO of Edelman Germany, will transition into this role and report to Rakesh Thukral, Edelman’s APAC CEO.
Schulz has been with Edelman since 2019, where she successfully led Edelman Germany, expanding the company’s market presence, diversifying its client base, and driving business growth. Under her leadership, Edelman Germany has grown, improved its capabilities, and created a people-first culture, all while focusing on innovation.
Schulz is excited to take on this new challenge, saying, “Edelman has a strong foundation in the region, with deep expertise and client relationships, presenting incredible opportunities for growth. I look forward to continuing to elevate our work and help our clients navigate today’s complexities.”
Rakesh Thukral, CEO of Edelman APAC, expressed that Schulz’s experience working in diverse markets will be invaluable for enhancing Edelman’s APAC operations. “Her leadership and ability to build long-term client relationships will be key as we continue to grow the APAC business,” he said.
As Schulz steps into her new role, Nils Giese will succeed her as CEO of Edelman Germany, ensuring a smooth transition and continued growth in the German market.
These leadership changes are set to take effect on April 1, signaling a new chapter for both Edelman Germany and the APAC region.
