Jung A Kim Named Global CEO of INNOCEAN, Succeeding William Lee

Innocean has promoted Jung A Kim from Chief Creative Officer (CCO) to Global Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective November 1, 2025. Kim succeeds William Lee, who has led Innocean’s global network for the past five years and will continue to support the company as Senior Advisor during the transition. Kim’s appointment is historic, as she becomes Innocean’s first female CEO, reflecting the company’s commitment to diversity and transformative leadership.

Kim joined Innocean Seoul in 2006 as Executive Creative Director (ECD), after beginning her career at Cheil Worldwide in 1996 as a copywriter. Over nearly two decades at Innocean, she has played a defining role in shaping the agency’s creative identity and global reputation. She became CCO in January 2021, overseeing the creative direction for Innocean Korea and leading award-winning campaigns for major clients, including Hyundai Motor Group, Hanwha Group, Google Korea, and Domino’s Pizza. Notably, Hyundai’s “Night Fishing” campaign, under her leadership, won the Grand Prix at both Cannes Lions and MAD STARS.

Throughout her career, Kim has received global recognition for her contributions to advertising, winning top awards such as Cannes Lions, New York Festivals, Clio, One Show, London Advertising Festival, ADFEST, MAD STARS, and Spikes Asia. She was named Korea’s No. 1 Creative Director by Campaign Brief Asia in 2020 and 2021. In 2022, she received the Order of Merit from the South Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and in 2023, she was honored with the Industry Leadership title at AdAsia Changemakers for Good Awards, recognizing leaders who drive social innovation through creative ideas.

As Global CEO, Kim will focus on three strategic priorities:

  • Elevating Creativity: Reinforcing creativity as the core of Innocean’s global strategy and linking ideas directly to business growth.
  • AI-Ready Transformation: Leveraging AI as a creative amplifier to enhance imagination and operational efficiency.
  • Creative Culture & Collaboration: Cultivating an environment where creativity thrives through openness, cross-office collaboration, and diverse talent.

Kim stated:
“I am deeply honored to take on this responsibility. My goal is to stay true to the essence of creativity while continuously expanding beyond traditional advertising to build new types of businesses that will position Innocean as a leading global marketing company.”

Her appointment comes at a time of strong growth and momentum across Innocean’s global network, signaling the agency’s ambition to continue delivering innovative campaigns and creative excellence worldwide.
